On the right side of the sheet is a study of Saint Sebastian, which is said to have been used for the Summer Scene
The other drawing, on the left, could be a preparation for The Family Gathering. This is a very possible hypothesis, especially since it is also framed with a pencil line, which suggests that Bazille intended to prepare a painting. But the comparison stops there and it could be that it is only a simple scene of daily life at Méric.
